Around the Courts: Division 1 A Grade

Rosebud cruised through their match against Frankston, defeating the Bombers by 36 goals. A fast start saw the Buds establish a large 19-goal lead early. Frankston improved in the second quarter as they started to make stronger connections with each other and outscored Rosebud for the quarter, however, the Buds still took a strong 17-goal lead into halftime. In the third quarter Rosebud’s defensive pressure was outstanding keeping Frankston to only four goals for the second time during the match while scoring another 13 themselves. 26 goals ahead at the final break, Rosebud continued to restrict the Bombers while slotting goal after goal. Rosebud will now have a week off after finishing on top of the Division 1 A Grade ladder while Frankston’s season is over.
