Dromana came out firing against Pines defeating the Pythons by 12 goals. By halftime the difference in scores had blown out from 10 goals at the end of the first quarter to 14. However, the Pythons struck in the third quarter, scoring 14 goals and keeping the Tigers to only five. With danger mounting from Pines, Dromana quickly put pressure back on the scoreboard extending their five-goal lead more and more as the match drew closer to the final whistle.
