Around the Courts: Round 7 Division 2

Hastings came out firing in their match against Somerville, defeating the Eagles by 31 goals. The Blues set up their win in the first quarter, keeping Somerville’s shooters to a low four goals while scoring 15 of their own. Somerville improved greatly in the second quarter, scoring 14 goals, however, Hastings also continued to score goal after goal, keeping them out in front at halftime. The defensive pressure from the Blues in the third quarter, kept Somerville quiet once again to only four goals while they continued to find the net time and time again. The fourth quarter went in a similar fashion as Hastings stayed in control of the match, while Somerville were able to score a couple more goals than the last quarter, it was too late for them to reel the margin back in.
